I have a March 2018 build model 3, and I purchased a bundle of wires from this site. I followed the instructions on the youtube video, and I put in the new Gen4 ECU. After the install, and re-installing the Tesla firmware, the CCS adapter support appears in the UI. However, when I attached my Tesla UMC, it says "Charging Error - Power Not Detected". Looking in the service menu, I saw an error of "CP_a152_pilotEdgeDetectionFailed". I unplugged everything, then re-attached all of the wires connected to the ECU. It still showed the same error.
When I re-installed my old Gen3 ECU, level 2 charging worked without any issues. (I never tried CCS/Supercharging, as I need level 2 charging to work).
Is it possible to test my bundle of wires to make sure it's correct? Otherwise, are there any debugging tricks that I haven't found?
Thanks for this information. The leads on my multimeter are too large to fit into those pins, so I took some twisted galvanized wire and stuck it in pin 16 and it measured about 1.3 Ohms, but it could be because of my "handwork". (I have some smaller leads on order and should arrive tomorrow)
But it's probably the ECU... I'll have to figure out how to return it...
